DAY-TO-DAY ACTIVITIES

To illustrate how my day would go I used a variety of different applications to express and display the day-to-day activities. The following blog is a reflection on time spent on the application, pros and cons of each, and what each one would be best suited for.

The functions of each application were vastly different and had their great qualities to each of them. Firstly, writing a journal entry is perfect for the word application because like writing in a journal entry you can play with all types of ways you would write whether it be in cursive or your number things in a list or just continue writing paragraph form all the way through. The spreadsheet application was a great way to quantify everything that I wrote down in the word document and it was very interesting to use the app to calculate activities by adding formulas and to see it in various charts depending on which you choose. Lastly the presentation was a creative platform to take what I wrote in Word and give it more life with pictures and slide transitions that would keep an audience more engaged.

I believe in Word it is harder to add pictures and animations as you would in PowerPoint, and you would have to make the calculations yourself if you wanted to display any percentages or averages to what you were writing about. Excel has so many different uses and ways to calculate and display information, however it can take a lot of time to research different calculations and can be cumbersome. PowerPoint is very useful when presenting information to an audience but can sometimes be tiring to fit a lot of information into. I really like seeing my activities quantified so I enjoyed using the spreadsheet document the most out of the applications.
